About Us

Community Action of Laramie County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to reducing poverty in Laramie, Platte, Lincoln, and Sublette Counties in Wyoming. We provide comprehensive case management and supportive services tailored to our clients' needs, helping them on their path to self-sufficiency.

Since 1968, we have significantly impacted our community, fueled by the commitment of our staff, donors, and volunteers. Our mission is driven by passion and dedication, as we work to create a meaningful difference in the lives of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Community Outreach provides a platform for those who need it the most. At Community Action of Laramie County, we assess the needs of our community members and prioritize the success of our clients. Join our efforts today and be a part of a brighter future for all the residents of Wyoming.

Volunteering

Our Volunteering initiative is a powerful tool that has proven to make a difference. By joining our team of volunteers, you can help us serve our community and improve countless lives. Local Empowerment

Project Hope is based on the belief that we can make a real and positive difference. At Community Action of Laramie County, we take pride in this program model and the impact it has on our communities across Wyoming and in achieving self-sufficiency for our clients.

Economic Development

We believe that every challenge is an opportunity. The Cheyenne Farmers Market generates one-half million dollars in revenue for our community, and is driving economic development for local farmers and ranchers. More importantly, we are focusing attention on food insecurity and doing our part to address those in our community who are struggling with not having enough to eat.

Capacity Building

Through our capacity building approaches, we are able to make real and positive change. The process of developing and strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources that organizations and communities need to survive, adapt, and thrive, is a key areas of focus at Community Action of Laramie County.

Education

At Community Action of Laramie County, we are dedicated to putting our communities and clients first. Our approach to education and personal growth couples speakers and clients and provides a much-needed service for those in need.
